Yeah stuff happens the game is definitely better because of it though and you got to play a better game at submission time it wouldn't have been as well liked I guarantee it.

I believe the knife by default one shots every enemy in the game but it is a little bullshit to have to walk into their 100% accurate bullets. As far as your music concerns the idea of the mashup was mine it's just kinda the stuff I listen to lol but I will acknowledge it's appeal can be a bit niche. Thank you for playing though we'll keep it in mind for future iterations.

Awesome breakdown we will definitely consider all of this for the future

Yeah we wanted to incorporate some weapons with varying degrees of power to make it more interesting but the knife does need a bit more love i think.

Lol looks like someone found the knife's true power after all I did the same thing

Pretty fun but it takes too long for stuff to happen and that dotted carpet literally gave me a migraine.

I really liked the dice throwing animation but I think the combat too too long and I got a little bored especially on the final fight that took forever. There were also a few typos. Overall though pretty solid.

the final boss was whack

this game made me motion sick

It's a double edged sword the build we had ready at the end time was super broken now camden made it much better

It was fun watching you play and seeing new ways it could be horribly broken lol. The luck was definitely on your side for your run you got the ar like every time

I enjoyed the music although I think some of the sound effects were a bit hard on the ears. I think the fact the orientation of the cube had to match frustrated me a bit because its hard enough to get it to line up properly. Overall I enjoyed it and thank god you didnt do that 45 degree angle other games had that is literal pain. Another small complaint which is really a compliment is it ended too soon but really thats a dumb complaint because it was a game jam.

oh yeah disco elysium is a good example of that and I think what you did with the idea and combining genres was pretty well executed for a risky idea

Loved the art. The dice rolls are a cool idea but in genre about choice leaving it to rng kinda ruins the point either way I think it was handled well enough to not be a big deal and if you didnt have it it wouldn't fit the theme. I think having the gauge be at least a set amount of choices would be ideal instead of based on the number you get.

It took me a while to find the actually game file but it was worth it excellently made. I think the only complaint is its a little confusing at first maybe make it clear the dice are like genes

I just finished your game and I thought it was nice although my only real complaint is it kinda feels like trial and error at some points. I played this all the way through though which I don't do with all games so that is a testament to the game itself. The music was very relaxing which was a touch I appreciated. Also I think you should change the goal block because at first I assumed you had to land a 1 to get it which made the beginning level a little frustrating but I figured it out pretty quick anyway.

Thank you for playing

Thanks for playing I only say the last bit you played but it was super fun seeing your twitch stream EVERYONE GIVE THIS MAN A FOLLOW.

I agree with you on the health stat being low at the start being an issue you are 100% correct. I'm curious if you could elaborate on why the visuals didn't click for you as I was responsible for almost everything in that department. I think most of your criticism is valid I'm just curious because I would describe my art style as crude but I feel like you said it not as a compliment.

lol thank you the art style was very much intentional. Honestly as one of the people who helped make it I literally agree with everything you said.

This was really fun but it was confusing at first maybe have glowing borders around the stats could make it more clear what you have to do but really once I got into it I really enjoyed my time. I think the biggest issue here and to work on next time is clarity because everything else I enjoyed a lot.

yeah the timeline kills a lot of stuff

That's all that matters is you tried your best I get caught doing the same thing where I'll just copy code from a tutorial not understand it and struggle way longer than I would've if I just followed the tutorial

dang this game is so realistic

the map is required I'm glad you guys put it in but a minimap would be even better imo

I'm gonna keep it real with you the aim mechanic feels awful and the music is grating. Having a more intuitive aiming system would be a good start to improving this game.

it was so creative I didn't know what was happening

This was frustrating to play it's hard to tell where youre going it controls pretty rough and if knock out a dice it just disappears and kills you so what's the point.

this game gave me a migraine because of the base and color choice I'll be honest it was not pleasant to look at or hear

jumping with w is very annoying and it moves too fast and too slippery

I'm glad someone else thought of chopping instead of rng

I'll be honest this is too easy the jumps straight up were boring and I have no idea what the black or white variants do

yeah it's a cool game with different controls I think I would love it

This is my favorite game I've played so far it's engaging and requires strategy on when to kick the dice since spells alone cant kill fast enough well done

The controls on this one is rough I hate jumping with up it's way too slidey too

the keys were super hard to wrap my mind around and the first stage was irresponsive. Love the zen atmosphere though definitely got my mind ready for puzzles

Its way too easy

This game feels like I die a lot of cheap deaths from enemies spawning inside of me

I like the idea personally though I think it's too hard
